Children Drama

After a hectic October with Dusseraha and Deepavali celeberations i'm very relaxed now. Stage drama's are losing their charm, especially children skits are hardly seen. Whem I was a child Balananda Sangham set up by Sri Nyapathi Raghava Raogaru and his wife Smt. Kameshwarigaru regularly involved children in stage dramas. Thier dramas are basically for the chidren, by the children and to the children. There were even competitions among children skits, monoactions etc. But today there are no such events. If the children are brought up in the foriegn land expecting any such effort from them is a miracle, that too a Puranika Natakam! But children are like water in whichever object you store them they take that shape. Following is a dram performed by Telugu children staying in Perth, who don't even know how to speak Telugu properly, leave apart reading and writing. This is their effort....
